sailing
You cannot beat a dinghy for learning the rudiments of sailing. If you are new to the sport, we aim to give you the best possible introduction to dinghy sailing. For those with previous experience, we will develop your existing skills on our exciting coastal waters amidst spectacular scenery. The RYA syllabus, our high instructor to student ratios and intensive personal instruction will ensure you get the most out of your time on the water. And with over 50 years of teaching sailing on the Kyles of Bute, you can be sure we know what we are doing!
We have tailored our dates to suit your busy lifestyle and work commitments. The weekend dates give you an opportunity to get out on the water more regularly and build your confidence over the season.
Our basic pupils with no experience in a dinghy, will learn to sail in one of our stable dinghies with a crew and instructor to teach them the ropes. Those who have a little experience can progress to our single handed Laser Pico’s or more advanced dinghies to work on their skills and improve techniques with the help of their instructor in the safety boat.
2025 Dates and Prices
We have our adult weekend dates at the beginning of the season when most potential sailors are keen to brush up their skills or learn the basics in preparation for the summer ahead.
